Goals
- Provide a relentless, positive presence of Scouting in the general
community awareness:
- Maintain a central set of key messages on the role of scouting in our
communities
- Identify television and radio opportunities
- Identify publication and presentation opportunities
- Establish one-to-one connections with local paper and media editors.
- Make it easy for units to get stories in community media:
- Provide media contacts list
- Provide tips on messages and pictures to use when reporting events.
- Recruit and coordinate a team of Unit Publicity Contacts:
- Solicit,
edit, and funnel articles and pictures to media.
