Mustang News List
How do I sign up for the Mustang News List?
- You will need a Yahoo ID (this is free).
- If you don't have one,
click here.
- You will need to enter your
email address
- Enter as little else as possible
- Set your preferences to
not be in the directory and for
no html mail
- Then you will need to join the Mustang News
Group.
- To join,
click here.
- You will receive an email asking for your name, unit, position to verify
that you a registered volunteer.
- Respond to this email with the requested information.
- You will receive a Welcome Confirmation 1-2 days later.
- All applications are screened and approved by the
District List Manager.

What is the District News List?
- It is:
- A moderated way for thousands of district volunteers to be reached using
one email address.
- A way to see all scheduled events in Mustang District via an Online
District Calendar
- It is not:
What are the benefits of the District News List?
- District Events can be placed on the District Calendar where everyone can
see them
- District Event Reminders can be sent for every event on the District
Calendar
- District Event Last Minute Updates can be made and communicated
immediately.
- District Announcements can be sent immediately to everyone on the list
What is the proper use of the District News List?
- Only district-wide Announcements and Events should be posted on the
District News List and Calendar
- NOTE: You can set up a Unit News List and Calendar for your Pack, Troop,
or Crew
- The subject line of all events and announcements should indicate
the content so that readers can immediately decide to "read or delete"
- Experienced news list users know...
"You don't have to read everything from a list. Your delete key is your
friend. These are not personal emails."
